We're Back

Hi everyone,
I hope you  took full advantage of the great weather we experienced over the summer and are now ready to join us for our next series of Gorey Writers sessions in Gorey Library.

We start back on Thursday 12th September with a special event. Hazel Percival (Librarian) has invited us to join Brian Cregan for a reading from his new novel, Parnell, in the library at 7.30pm. A great way to kick off the season!

We look forward to seeing you there

Self-discovery through Poetry

Self-discovery through Poetry
 with Carol Boland
Poetry inspires and renews us time and again. When we read or hear a poem our senses, hearts, minds, and souls all participate in the act. Because poems elicit responses on so many levels, they often function as vehicles for enlightenment and healing.
A Biblio/Poetry Therapy course facilitates the use of published and original poems as well as story, narrative literature, song lyrics and therapeutic writing in an interactive process to enhance self-awareness and personal development.
