Member published in Enniscorthy Echo

Berniw Walsh has been published in Scalderverse, in Enniscorthy's Echo. This is a series of weekly poems by local writers, or those inspired by the town, in celebration of Enniscorthy's 1500th anniversary.

Well done, Bernie!

Circle of Life

Birth Happens
Innocence Prevails
Walk the circumference of life
Jump on the merry go round
Stop, choose the path
Bitterness bites, engulfs the being
Hinders the thoughts, the minds
Enter the deep dark tunnel
Scramble to find the bright light
Where is the finish line?
The satisfaction
The final destination
Desperation, dizziness, bitter sweet revenge
Is it too late to take the merry go round again?

Gorey Writers and Gorey Library

Gorey Writers are taking a break for the summer but we are busy getting our act together for the next season. We have lots of ideas to keep our group fresh including regular updates on this blog. Starting with news about the new library in Gorey, where we have discussed a room for our fortnightly meetings. We visited the site yesterday and were informed by 'a very nice man' that it should be open in September. Just in time for us!
